How it came to be...
Hi, I’m Samantha Harvey. I’ve been an equine professional for more than three decades. After running a large horse farm in the Pacific Northwest of the USA for 24 years, I now travel full-time, teaching horse behavior clinics around the world.
As an avid traveler who has explored far-off locations and “end-of-the-road” paths, very little phases me—whether by train, plane, car, donkey trail, or ship, I’ve likely traveled that way.
For over 20 years, I’ve also hauled livestock, small pets, and even chickens thousands of miles, as I split my time between the northern and southern regions to follow warmer climates.
Since relocating to Spain in 2025, I experienced firsthand the challenges of flying internationally with a dog and two cats. It made me realize the stress that many pet owners endure during trying to coordinate international air travel.
That’s when the idea for Global Pet Journeys was born. Traveling frequently for my horse clinics, I saw an opportunity to help others transport their small pets safely and comfortably from airport to airport—making journeys smoother for both pets and their owners.
